These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Hüseyin Alperen Yucal, a sole proprietorship established in Türkiye ("we", "us"), covering the Lettuce mobile app ("Lettuce", the "App") and the related Lettuce services and website. "Lettuce" and "Elevic" are brand names used for our products and services; Elevic is not a separate legal entity at this time.

By downloading, creating an account in, or using Lettuce, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App. How we handle your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. Lettuce is intended for adults only. Do not create an account for, or allow use of your account by, someone under 18. If you are authorised to act for another adult, that person must also meet these eligibility requirements.

3. What Lettuce is — and what it is not

Lettuce is a personal tracking app for meals, calories, macronutrients, intermittent fasting, water, weight, sleep, steps and workouts, with an AI-assisted meal scan that estimates what is in a meal.

Lettuce provides general wellness information and personal tracking. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or clinical care. Everything the App shows — including calorie and macro targets, nutrition values, fasting stages, scores and progress figures — is for general information and self-tracking only, is based on estimates and on data you enter, and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unsuitable for you. Lettuce is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or monitor any disease or medical condition, and is not intended for use as a medical device. It does not replace advice from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified health professional.

Using Lettuce, paying for Lettuce Pro, receiving an automated response, or contacting support does not create a doctor-patient, dietitian-client or other clinical relationship. We do not clinically supervise your use, review your records for medical danger, monitor symptoms, or promise to detect a health problem or contact emergency services. Any automated insights or chat responses made available in the future are subject to these same limits.

  • Do not use Lettuce to decide medication doses, change or stop treatment, replace prescribed dietary instructions, or decide whether a food is safe for an allergy, intolerance or medical condition. A scan cannot reliably identify all ingredients, allergens or preparation methods.
  • Targets, fasting stages, streaks, scores and reminders are not instructions to continue eating, restricting food, fasting or exercising when doing so is unsafe for you. We do not guarantee weight loss, nutritional adequacy, improved health, or the safety of any target, plan or activity for you.
  • Consult a qualified health professional before changing your diet, fasting, weight or exercise routine, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication, or have or have had an eating disorder or another medical condition. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking care because of information in Lettuce.
  • Lettuce is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services rather than relying on the App or support.

You remain responsible for your decisions about food, fasting, exercise and health. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim responsibility for decisions and health consequences arising from your reliance on the App's estimates, targets, information or automated outputs. This disclaimer is subject to section 17 and does not waive liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. Your account

  • You need an account to use Lettuce. You can register with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In.
  • Give accurate information. Targets and estimates are calculated from what you enter, so inaccurate details produce inaccurate results.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at support@elevic.co if you believe it has been used without your permission.
  • One account per person. Do not share, sell or transfer your account, and do not create accounts by automated means.

5. Your content and data

The meals, photos, measurements, notes and other content you put into Lettuce remain yours. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and transmit that content solely to operate and support the service for you — including sending meal scan photos or descriptions to our AI providers to produce an estimate, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to advertise to you and we do not sell it.

You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to upload it. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or contains other people's personal data without their consent.

New AI-generated nutrition cache entries are linked to your account and may be reused for your later scans. Relevant AI foods you save to meals, including your corrections, may be used as saved-meal memory and sent to an AI provider for matching. A matching food can be reused with a different portion size. Scan photos are stored privately with an account-linked scan reference, even when you do not save a meal or recognition fails. Photos are not displayed in the current App. Retention, deletion and provider processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

6. AI meal scan

  • AI meal scan (photo and text) is a Lettuce Pro feature. Manual logging, fasting, water, weight, sleep, steps and workout tracking are available without a subscription.
  • Results are estimates. Food identification, portion sizes and nutrition values produced by AI can be incomplete or wrong. Reusing a previously saved or corrected food does not verify a new scan: recipes, ingredients and portion sizes may differ. Always review a scan and correct it before saving it to your log. These estimates are subject to the health and medical-use limitations in section 3.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or availability of AI results. The feature depends on third-party AI providers and may be unavailable, slow, or return an error.
  • Fair use applies: scans are limited in image size and in the number of food items per scan, and we may apply rate limits or temporarily restrict access to protect the service from abuse or excessive cost.
  • Do not use the scan feature for anything other than logging your own meals, and do not attempt to use it as a general-purpose image or AI service.

7. Fasting stages

The fasting timer, stage names and related information are calculated purely from the times you enter. They are an educational timeline based on elapsed time and do not measure, confirm or predict any biological process in your body. They are not a medical measurement or medical advice.

8. Apple Health and Health Connect

If you grant permission, Lettuce can read steps, weight, height and hydration records from Apple Health or Health Connect, and write weight, height, hydration, nutrition and active energy records you create in Lettuce. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings, and Lettuce will continue to work without it. Data obtained through these integrations is used only to provide the features you enabled; it is never used for advertising and never sold.

9. Lettuce Pro subscriptions

  • Lettuce Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, in the plan lengths offered in the App (currently three-month and annual plans).
  • The price, plan length and any introductory or promotional offer are shown before you confirm the purchase. Prices vary by country and may change; we will tell you in advance where the store requires it, and a price change applies only to renewals after it takes effect.
  • Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the applicable store deadline. The store controls the timing of renewal charges and any payment authorisation holds. Check the renewal date and cancellation instructions in your store account; do not assume cancellation on the renewal date will prevent a charge.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — cancelling only stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the paid period. Deleting the App or your Lettuce account does not cancel a store subscription.
  • If a free trial or introductory offer is available to you, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription, and the trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
  • Subscription access is verified with our payment provider. If verification is temporarily unavailable, premium features may be blocked until it succeeds; contact support if this persists.

10. Refunds

Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and refund eligibility and processing follow the applicable store rules and mandatory law. Apple refund requests are handled by Apple. For Google Play purchases, you may request a refund from Google or contact us; where Google provides the developer with refund controls, we can review and process an eligible request. Contact support if you need help identifying the correct route. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights — including any right of withdrawal under Turkish, EU/EEA or UK consumer law — are not affected by this section; note that a right of withdrawal for digital content may end once delivery has started with your consent. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@elevic.co and we will help where we can.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Lettuce for anything unlawful, or in breach of these Terms;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where that right cannot be excluded by law;
  • access our APIs by any means other than the App, or use bots, scrapers or automated tools against the service;
  • interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to bypass the security, authentication or subscription checks of the service;
  • resell, sublicense, or make the service or its content available to others as your own product;
  • use the service to provide medical, dietetic or health advice to third parties, or to present its estimates as professional advice;
  • upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches this section, immediately where necessary to protect the service or other users.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Lettuce available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service depends on third parties — app stores, authentication, hosting, AI and payment providers — and may be interrupted for maintenance, outages, or reasons outside our control. We may add, change, limit or discontinue features, including premium features. If we discontinue a paid feature in a way that materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel your subscription; a refund for the remaining period, if any, is handled by the store under section 10.

13. Intellectual property

Lettuce and Elevic, including the App, its software, design, text, graphics, logos and brand names, are owned by Hüseyin Alperen Yucal or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. No other rights are granted. Nutrition data shown in the App may come from third-party or public sources and remains subject to the rights of its owners.

14. Third-party services

Lettuce relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase (sign-in), Amazon Web Services (hosting), AI providers for meal scanning, RevenueCat (subscription management), Expo (push notifications), Apple Health and Health Connect, and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect features in the App.

15. Termination

You may stop using Lettuce at any time and delete your account in the App (Profile → account settings). Account deletion permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be undone; cancel any store subscription separately. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service, giving you reasonable notice unless immediate action is necessary. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 5, 13, 16, 17 and 19 — continue to apply.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lettuce is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, that its estimates or calculations are accurate, or that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

17. Limitation of liability

Mandatory rights take priority. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected. Every disclaimer, exclusion and cap in these Terms is subject to this paragraph.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data arising from or connected to your use of, or inability to use, Lettuce.

Subject to the mandatory-rights paragraph above and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for injury, illness, adverse health outcomes or other loss arising from decisions you make in reliance on estimated, AI-generated, reused or self-entered information in Lettuce. This includes decisions about diet, allergens, portion sizes, calorie or nutrient intake, fasting, hydration, exercise, weight goals and treatment. The App's information is not a substitute for an independent assessment by a qualified health professional.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Lettuce in that period, or, if you paid nothing, to the equivalent of EUR 50. This cap does not apply to the liabilities or rights preserved in the mandatory-rights paragraph above.

18. Indemnity

If you use Lettuce in breach of these Terms or of applicable law, you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs directly resulting from that breach. This does not apply to consumers to the extent local law provides otherwise.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes may be brought before the competent consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts in Türkiye in accordance with the applicable monetary thresholds. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in your local courts. We would rather resolve issues directly — write to support@elevic.co first.

20. Apple App Store terms

If you obtained Lettuce from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Your licence to use the App is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Support requests go to support@elevic.co.
  • If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation, to the extent not excluded by these Terms.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

21. Google Play

If you obtained Lettuce from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App, but purchases and refunds are handled through Google Play as described in section 10.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. If a change is significant, we will notify you in the App or by another appropriate channel before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lettuce after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the App and, if you wish, delete your account. The "last updated" date shown with this document indicates the current version.

23. General

If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of the business, without reducing your rights. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about Lettuce. These Terms are published in English; translations are provided for convenience, and the English version prevails in case of conflict, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
